Customer Service Representative Position Open at Genesee Energy

Genesee Energy is a family owned and operated fuel distribution company operating in the Puget Sound region since 1929. We are seeking a self-driven task oriented person for the position of Customer Service Representative. Genesee Energy has a proven reputation of excellent customer service that is near 100 years in the making. We are seeking an individual who will help us continue to grow into new and expanding markets. The right person will need to provide an exemplary customer experience in communicating with current customers as well as potential customers.

Job Description:

  • Operate in a fast paced environment while managing large amounts of incoming calls
  • Open and maintain customer accounts
  • Identify and assess customer needs to maximize the customer experience
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
  • Schedule deliveries and service appointments

Compensation:

Very competitive – DOE

Requirements:

  • Proven customer support experience
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Mastery of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM systems and practices
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
