Pictured here, on his 87th birthday, is Gail Herrmann. Although not related by blood to the Clark brothers who founded Genesee, Gail is an irrefutable member of the Genesee extended family.

Gail began his career in the heating oil business in 1951 at Seattle Diesel. In 1971 Genesee Fuel acquired Seattle Diesel and with it, gained this valuable employee, Gail Herrmann.

Starting as a bookkeeper, he later became a Credit Manager. Although Gail officially “retired” from his full time position in 1993, he continues to bless us with his presence by working two days a week. {Either he really just wanted that big retirement party, or he just can’t get enough of us.} Either way, we love that Gail is here to humor us as well as provide his outstanding knowledge and experience to our customers.
