Building or remodeling? Consider using propane for all your energy needs, not just the bbq. Why? Because it’s safe, cost-efficient, and it has lower carbon emissions than the alternatives.
According to the Propane Education & Research Council, an independent research firm, Newport Partners, conducted a Comparative Heating Systems Study in 2012 which evaluated 15 different heating systems in 20 locations across the US. The study compared the costs and benefits associated with the systems’ purchase and installation, energy consumption, service life, and carbon dioxide emissions from operations. Overall, the study showed that propane fueled systems performed strongly in all regions of the country as measured by straightforward return on investment, lower CO2 emissions, and effectiveness as a backup system.
