This month we celebrate 85 years of business. In 1929 Gordon Clark and his brother Russell purchased Genesee Coal & Stoker. 85 years later, we are still a family owned business in our third generation.[caption id="attachment_1427" align="aligncenter" width="400"]
3616 South Genesee Street. Seattle, WA 98118[/caption]From the same corner of South Genesee Street and 37th Avenue South, Genesee has moved from shoveling coal, to pumping oil and now adding propane.
Although our colors have always been red and white, our logo has changed in keeping up with current trends.
One thing that has remained constant throughout our 85 years, is our commitment to quality customer service. This inherited family value continues to be as important on a daily basis today as it was in the early years of Genesee Coal & Stoker.
