Part of the Pollution Liability Insurance Agency (PLIA) mission is to make pollution liability insurance available (free) to heating oil customers.
Registering your tank with PLIA is free to the homeowner, so we encourage all our customers to register right away. Once registered, PLIA will cover up to $60,000 in soil contamination clean up on your property. This takes the worry of oil tank leaks off the customer.
